Geoff Teall

Geoff Teall, head trainer and owner of Montoga, Inc has been involved in the horse industry for over 35 years. He has trained hunter champions and reserve champions at shows such as Lake Placid, South Hampton, Winter Equestrian Festival, Capital Challenge, Devon, Harrisburg, Washington, and the National Horse Show. He has also trained equitation champions and reserves at all major horse shows including the USEF Medal Finals, USEF Talent Search Finals, and several different ASPCA Regional Finals. He has trained several jumper riders from the start of their jumper careers to their first Grand Prix wins.

Geoff holds his “R” Hunter and Hunter Equitation license. He has judged most major hunter shows including the Winter Equestrian Festival, Washington International Horse Show and the National Horse Show. In the equitation division he has judged several ASPCA Regional Finals, the Royal Winter Fair, WIHS Equitation Finals, and the USEF Medal Finals.

Very involved in the governance of our sport Geoff currently serves on the Board of Directors of the USHJA, USHJA Foundation and the USEF. In addition he is chairman or vice chairman of the Hunter Restructure Committee, Officials Committee, and the Rider’s and Trainer’s Committee. He serves also on the Trainer’s Certification, High Performance Hunter, Planning, and Rule Change committees for the USHJA. For the USEF he is seated on the Licensed Officials Committee, Affiliates Working Group and the Equitation Task Force.

 

Charles Moorcroft

 

Charles Moorcroft owns and operates Charles Moorcroft, Inc. a show program for serious riders of all levels. He is based at the Palm Beach Equine Sports Complex. Charlie’s specialty is teaching children on ponies but has a great group of adults and juniors as well. Charlie’s students have had great success at many major national shows including Pony Finals, Devon, Capital Challenge, Harrisburg and Washington. His extensive dressage background brings a classical approach to modern hunters and equitation. Since moving to the Wellington, FL area six years ago Charlie has developed a great reputation for starting the children of other professionals. A true teacher, Charlie is happy to teach children or adults of any level as long as they show the right attitude and have a willingness to learn.
Charlie serves on the USHJA Foundation Board of Directors as well as the USEF National Hunter Committee, USHJA Pony Hunter Task Force, USHJA High Performance Hunter, USHJA Hunter Restructure, and adviser for the Young Professional Committee.
